All hoses have strain protectors fitted over crimp fittings and entire hose is covered by continuous nylon Tex- Sleeve which is then fixed in place with a glued heat shrink protective covering.

Every hose has a serial No on a stainless steel ring under protective sleeve and plastic number tag with a date of manufacture. A DANGER warning instruction tag is on every hose.

Tensioner Hose Testing
A one metre length of HP-4 (MP 10,000 psi) hose with 101HP-6-4 fittings, the same as used with all Blue Heeler tensioning equipment was tested to 33000psi and held for one minute.

We were aiming for 40000psi and the staple clips on the adaptor in the testing chamber started to bend.
